The Las Vegas Medical Marijuana Association is a chamber of commerce for medical marijuana, which was organized to promote the new and emerging industry in Nevada.
The Association has a diverse membership consisting of dispensary owners, production facilities, cultivators, labs and various companies that work with the industry, and patients, doctors, nurses, and researchers.
The Las Vegas Medical Marijuana Association was started in 2014 by John Laub, President; Jim Lamb, Vice President, and Tom Haynie. About Jeffrey Friedland
Mr. Friedland's latest book, Marijuana: The World's Most Misunderstood Plant was published in late 2015.
Mr. Friedland was an owner of two retail marijuana stores and one cultivation facility in Colorado. These businesses were the subject of the CNN eight-part reality series, "High Profits," which aired in 2015. Mr. Friedland sold his interests in these businesses in early 2015.
He is also CEO of INTIVA Inc., a multi-faceted company in the worldwide legal cannabis industry. INTIVA has established operating businesses and made investments in the cannabis industry in California, Colorado, and Canada. The company’s primary focus is the leasing of proprietary CO2 supercritical extraction systems to cannabis growers, extractors, and edible products manufacturers. He is also a board member of Israel-based CannRX, a company focused on the development of cannabis-based pharmaceuticals.
Mr.Friedland is the Managing Director of Friedland Capital, has been the chief executive officer and a director of a NASDAQ listed financial services company; a director of a New York Stock Exchange-listed company with all of its business operations in China; and the chairman of the supervisory board of a Hong Kong based company with a stock market listing on the European Union Regulated Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
