Jeffrey Friedland to Participate in the Cannabis Quality Strategies & Solutions Summit in Los Angeles

Jeffrey Friedland, the author of  Marijuana: The World’s Most Misunderstood Plant, will be a panelist at the Cannabis Quality Strategies & Solutions Summit in Los Angeles. The Summit will be held at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel from July 19th through the 21st. (www.canna-quality.com)


The Summit will enable attendees to connect with first-movers, experts and policy makers who are establishing best practices for an industry poised to generate revenues in excess of  $20 billion globally.


Mr. Friedland will participate on the panel,  “Investment, Intellectual Property & Cannabis Business Model & Product Innovation.” The panel will focus on cannabis investing’s high-sensitivity to politics and continuous regulatory changes, business models that are successfully obtaining financing and “pick and shovel” strategies for investing in the emerging cannabis industry.


The panel is being moderated by the cannabis funding consultant Francis DellaVecchia. Other panelists will be Alex Conn, Co-Founder and President of Metagreen;  Evan Eneman, Founding Partner and Managing Director of Casa Verde Capital; Christian Groh, Partner, and Co-Founder of Privateer Holdings; Ben Larson, Co-Founder & Managing Partner of the California cannabis incubator, Gateway; and Tohid Starr of Epoch Venture Group.


The Summit will also feature the leading five Western state regulators. Fiona Ma of the California State Board of Equalization; Ken Groggel of the New Mexico Department of Health; Heather Krug of the State of Colorado; Shannon Swantek of the State of Oregon and Kristi Weeks of the Washington Department of Health.


About Jeffrey Friedland


Jeffrey Friedland is an emerging market pioneer. Mr. Friedland was a founder of Israel Plant Sciences Ltd., a company that is participating in Israel’s innovative agriculture and medicinal plant sectors.


He is a director of CannRx, a company focused on the science of producing high-quality, efficacy driven, cannabis-based products in a complex regulatory environment.


Mr. Friedland is an adviser to the Florida-based, private equity fund, First Harvest Financial, investing in the cannabis investments in the U.S. and globally.



Jeffrey Friedland is also the CEO of the financial services firm Friedland Global Capital, which since 1979 has provided corporate finance and strategic advisory services to entrepreneurial companies.


Mr. Friedland has been the chief executive officer and a director of a NASDAQ-listed financial services company, a director, and chairman of the audit committee of a New York Stock Exchange-listed company, and chairman of a company listed on the EU-regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
